{"id":10367,"date":"2023-03-27T15:20:44","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T13:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/?post_type=aktuality&#038;p=10367"},"modified":"2023-03-27T15:21:04","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T13:21:04","slug":"the-european-committee-of-social-rights-published-its-2022-conclusions-on-slovakia","status":"publish","type":"aktuality","link":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/aktuality\/the-european-committee-of-social-rights-published-its-2022-conclusions-on-slovakia\/","title":{"rendered":"The European Committee of Social Rights published its 2022 conclusions on Slovakia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The European Committee of Social Rights published its conclusions in respect of 33 states, including Slovakia on the articles of the European Social Charter relating to Labour Rights (Group 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government of the Slovak Republic submitted its 12th National Report to the European Committee of Social Rights in February 2022 (available on the webpage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rm.coe.int\/rap-rcha-svk-12-2022\/1680a64b7e\">Council of Europe<\/a>). The Centre sent its Comments in June 2022 (available on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/European-Social-Charter-Submission_SNCHR_2022.pdf\">webpage<\/a>). In our report, we focused mainly on the implementation of selected provisions by the Slovak Republic &#8211; <strong>the right to a fair remuneration<\/strong> \u2013 Article 4 (3); <strong>the right to dignity at work<\/strong> \u2013 Article 26; and <strong>the right to information and consultation in collective redundancy procedures<\/strong> &#8211; Article 29 of the European Social Charter (revised).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>In March 2023, the Committee of Social Rights published its conclusions for Slovakia (available on the webpage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rm.coe.int\/conclusions-2022-slovak-republic-e\/1680aa9874\">Council of Europe<\/a>) on 23 provisions of the European Social Charter (revised) in the group of Labour Rights for the years 2017-2020. Regarding Slovakia, the Committee concluded that the situation was in conformity with the Charter with regards to 10 articles (Art. 2\/2, Art. 2\/3, Art. 2\/4, Art. 2\/6, Art. 2\/7, Art. 4\/2, Art. 6\/2 and Art. 6\/3) and deferred its conclusion pending receipt of information regarding 6 articles (Art. 2\/1, Art. 4\/1, Art. 4\/3, Art. 5, Art. 6\/1 and Art. 29) The Committee found the situation in Slovakia not in comformity with the European Social Charter (revised) regarding 7 articles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em>Article 2 (5): Right to just conditions of work &#8211; Weekly rest period<\/em><\/li><li><em>Article 4 (4): Right to a fair remuneration &#8211; Reasonable notice of termination of employment<\/em>e<\/li><li><em>Article 4 (5): Right to a fair remuneration &#8211; Limits to deduction from wages<\/em><\/li><li><em>Article 6 (4): Right to bargain collectively &#8211; Collective action<\/em><\/li><li><em>Article 26 (1): Right to dignity in the workplace &#8211; Sexual harassment<\/em><\/li><li><em>Article 26 (2): Right to dignity in the workplace &#8211; Moral harassment<\/em><\/li><li><em>Article 28: Right of workers&#8217; representatives to protection in the undertaking and facilities to be accorded to them<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, the European Committee of Social Rights will examine the compliance of the national situations with the Charter in the thematic group 4 on <strong>children, families and migrants. <\/strong>The Slovak Republic sent its National Report in February 2023 (available on the webpage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rm.coe.int\/conclusions-2022-slovak-republic-e\/1680aa9874\">Council of Europe<\/a>) and the reports of other actors, including civil society organizations can be sent until 30 June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A practical manual for civil society organizations that explains the reporting process is available in Slovak on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/esc-manual_web.pdf\">webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":10360,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aktuality\/10367"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aktuality"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/aktuality"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/10360"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10367"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=10367"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.snslp.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=10367"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
